- Durable tiles built for longevity
- Visually appealing flooring
The Solution
EverBase® 4
Most of us have heard the phrase “kick up some dust”—a call to stir things up or make a fuss. But when it comes to special events, galas, concerts, and conventions, the last thing you want is dust flying everywhere. That's why the McNairy County Agricultural Event Center turned to Versare Flooring for a reliable solution to keep their red dirt surface underfoot during both smaller community functions and high-profile events. With EverBase® 4 modular event flooring, they found the perfect way to transform the red dirt surface into a sturdy, stable, and polished foundation for any occasion, including a jam-packed country concert.
The McNairy County Agricultural Event Center, located in Selmer, Tenn., is an impressive venue. Spanning just under 50,000 square feet, it offers a number of meeting rooms, open spaces for recreation, a fully functional industrial kitchen, and seating for nearly 3,000 guests in the bleachers. However, the rich red soil of Tennessee posed a challenge in fully realizing its potential as an all-in-one event venue.
“We needed to turn this dirt into a banquet hall,” said McNairy County Mayor Larry Smith. “Besides the high school, we didn’t really have a place to host events.” Smith noted that McNairy Central High School, only a half mile from the event center, while a suitable place to hold community events, wasn’t quite large enough to be a proper host for events in this southwest Tennessee county.
But with heavy-duty EverBase® 4 flooring, the ag center is now able to add an additional 1,500 chairs onto its dirt surface. Last November, the McNairy County Department of Tourism & Marketing and the McNairy County Agricultural Event Center hosted the center’s largest convert event to date with headliner and country superstar Trace Adkins.
“It [EverBase] really transformed the dirt. It looked like a banquet hall, and that’s what people couldn’t believe,” Smith said. “A semi pulled in on the floor, squirreled around on these plastic panels, and didn’t waver one bit. It held the semi, lifts, equipment, a huge stage. The versatility is amazing, and we can host events like we haven’t before.”
Since installing the high-quality polyethylene tiles, the agricultural center has already hosted events like the Best of McNairy Banquet and a community Easter celebration, and even more exciting occasions on the horizon.
The event center was built to serve the agricultural community, and now with EverBase® 4 modular flooring, its potential extends far beyond.
